Filumena is a one-year-old female Maremmano-Abruzzese Shepherd who carries a name of great importance and meaning. Inspired by the famous play Filumena Marturano by Eduardo De Filippo — of whom she is both a symbolic and literal daughter, being the offspring of our Maremmano Shepherd Eduardo — she embodies the strong and authentic character of her lineage.

At one year of age, Filumena already shows an excellent and well-balanced structure, with proportions, bone and overall dimensions that are very much in line with the age and typical characteristics of the breed. She is still naturally developing toward full maturity, but her physical qualities are already clearly evident.

Her almond-shaped eyes, so characteristic of the Maremmano-Abruzzese Shepherd, give her an attentive and expressive gaze, while her typical “smile” enhances the open and gentle expression of her face.

Filumena has an enterprising, dynamic and confident temperament. Intelligent and curious, she approaches new situations with interest while maintaining a natural awareness of her surroundings. At the same time, she shows a spontaneous sweetness and sensitivity that make her particularly balanced in her interactions with people and with the other dogs in the pack.

Filumena fully represents the spirit of the Maremmano-Abruzzese Shepherd: independent yet loyal, energetic yet attentive, proud yet capable of great tenderness. At one year old, she is no longer a puppy, but a young adult already revealing the strength, character and distinctive qualities of her lineage, with further maturity still to come.
